creating a query

I have a table that has the following fields: System, Publisher, Package
name, version.

There is duplicate entries for "Package name" and "Version" (It can also be
a different version for the same package). What I would like to do is create
1 table or query that will list 1 entry of each Package name and each
version. What is the best way to do this?

Open up a new query in design view and add your table. Drop down just the
Package Name and Version fields. Next go to View on the menu and select
Totals. Run the query.
