creating a formula using text

I'm trying to put a formula in a cell to show text and the
content of 2 other cells. I've tried:

="HP "&J171" & "&K171

and it keeps giving me an error but doesn't show me how to
fix it.

assuming that the extra data is in J 171 and J172

="HP " & J171 & " & " & K171
you missed /\ & operator

Should do what you ask basically in enlish the formula says
equals "HP " AND the contents of cell J171 AND " & " AND
the contents of cell K171
