I am creating a form, and have managed to create all the form fields and text
boxs that I want but am having two problems.

1. In certain areas I want to write an instruction in the text box as a
prompt that then is written over when people insert their answers. I have
tried going to form field options then add text help, and type your own. But
it doesn't appear in the box????

2. When I have protected the document both from the forms toolbar and using
portect document under tools, you/other people can't modify the actual text
but can hit the return button and change the spacings. Any suggestions.

Thanks

When you add Help to a text form field, it is displayed on the status bar.
Since very few people are likely to look there, you may want to add it as
the default text instead. Note, however, that it will be selected for
overwriting only if people tab into the field, not if they just click in it
with the mouse.

To prevent changes in spacing, most forms designers put text form fields in
table cells with auto resizing disabled and a preferred width and exact
height specified.
