Hi,
Use Win98 SE, Word 97, Outlook 97, OE email
Long ago I was able to access my Outlook Contacts mailing addresses from
within the Word > Tools> Envelopes >

After changing computers, crashes, etc. I find the only address book I can
get up is called a Personal Address Book. This AB contains some email
addresses but by no means all that I have in my OE AB which is the email I
use, an no Outlook Contacts.

I have been all around my OE, Word and Outlook trying to create an Outlook
Address Book? but no success and cannot find a way to link them up, etc.

I want to be able to access my Outlook Contacts mailing addresses from
within the Word envelope facility. My eyes are now crossed.
Any help appreciated.
Patti

Word cannot directly use the address book in Outlook Express. You will need
to export it to make use of it.

Hi Doug,
My question was unclear, sorry. I do not want to use the Outlook Express
address book. I want to create a Microsoft Outlook address book from the
Microsoft Outlook Contacts which contain full address. I want to be able to
get this address book up in Word97 in order to print and envelope from that
address book.
Thanks Patti

You need to make a check in Outlook that the contacts list property is
flagged to use it as an address book. It's been a while since I used this
version of Outlook, but it may be necessary to delete the Outlook address
book (NOT THE CONTACTS LIST!!!) from Outlook's options and re-add it.

IIRC it should be a matter of right-clicking the Address Book,
selecting Properties and somewhere in the dialog there should be an
option for "Address Book".
