I need to take a document where only a few words change and be able to do
like a shift Z to get to the change and typed. I had one that all I put in
the document that need to change was a ~. Example: I need to change just a
few words ~ a document. Bring up document hit shift Z and get to ~ and type
the only change in a document.

Are you trying to get to points in the document where there is a tilde? Have
you tried using Ctrl+F and typing ~ in the "Find what" box?

If this is a form where you routinely change the same few points make a
template of what Word calls an "online form." Check this in help. For more
about online forms, follow the links at

http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/FillinTheBlanks.htm especially Dian
Chapman's series of articles.

Hope this helps,
