slow?

Has anyone figured out how to use it with Proxomitron?

isn't cb an IE shell?
unless it bypasses IE's connectoin, you should be able to use IE's internet optoins.

IIRC, proxo uses localhost:8080 by default for http and for https
setup the proxy in internet options (or crazybrowser's connectoin settings) to use the same

ok, a bit of googling implies CB has i'ts own proxy/connection setup.
therefore teh help file should lead you to locatoin in options for connections

strange associatoin of translatoin URLs and proxies?

you want to work out something like this (older firefox, i think, but look similar)
http://www.suma-lab.de/yacy/shots/proxy-setup/firefox-proxy.png

this person has localhost 8080 for only HTTP. but (AFAIK) exact same localhost 8080 should also go in SSL to get most benefit
of proxomitron

for comparison, some other proxy setup:
http://www.dejazzd.com/features/cf_setup/images/firefox_options2.jpg
http://www.rrze.uni-erlangen.de/dienste/internet-zugang/shi/internet-software/mozilla_proxies.jpg

and for IE on LAN
http://www.suma-lab.de/yacy/shots/proxy-setup/ie-proxy.png

IE on dialup would click "advanced" button after selecting the dialup from list
http://filtering.illinois.net/IE-ProxySetup2.gif
then, as always, fill in
localhost 8080

Of course I tried that, but it does not work. Programs like CB or
Avant are not IE shells. They use the IE rendering engine, which is
not quite the same. Avant has an entry in the prefs. for a proxy like
Proxomitron, CB hasn't; a major omission.

Just how risky are these browsers that use the IE rendering engine to
IE-type security holes?
