Crashes

I am experiencing a lot of crashes lately, today I just lost all my
incoming email on outlook express. I thought maybe went to delete = but no.
What should I do? It also freezes up a lot, lately. I am afraid to take
in, did several months ago and the guy really screwed it up. Lots of
problems with my XP - had it since 2001.
