I recently installed a Sony DRU510A DVD/CD drive. Now, when I attempt to
burn to it using Nero 6, the PC shuts down and comes back up. It scans the
C drive and finds no errors. Then Windows comes up with the message that
the system has recovered from a serious error. When I send the report to
Microsoft, they say it has something to do with device drivers. Nothing
more specific.
This is not the first time I have encountered problems that say they pertain
to device drivers -- usually have to do with writing to CD.
However, when I do a Windows Update, it says all my drivers are up to date
except the most recent NVIDIA display driver update.
Can anyone suggest how I find out which driver is causing the problem and
ensure that I have the most up to date one. I tried the Sony website but it
just said look at Microsoft.
Thanks.............Pam
