Crashes loading Bink Video file

Hi everybody!

My Windows XP crashes every time it is supposed to open a Bink video
file in the videogame I am playing, causing the restart of the system:
does anyone know how can I settle this problem and what may cause it?

If the problems only occur with this particular game, then check on the
game mftr.'s website for tech support and patches. You might need to
download the codec, but it seems unlikely that the game wouldn't have
included any codecs needed in its installation.

plays correctly, contact the game's publisher for more help.
