crash during system restore

My computer was running slow so i did a system restore..but my computer
crashed before the restart. Now all i get is the windows xp pro screen and
then it goes to safe mode with a totally balck screen that does nothing or to
normal mode with a totally black screen. How do i fix this???

If you run an XP "Upgrade"setup, from the original, or "Gold" version of the setup CD, and you have SP2 installed, it might go into
a setup loop, and you could lose your install. Uninstall SP2, BEFORE you Upgrade setup from CD (that lacks sp2 on it.)
