Cpu Usage at 100% Because of SVCHOST.EXE

I am building a computer and have win xp home edition and
2.3 ghz proccesser and 120gb HDD and 256 ram. I can get
on but but my proccessor is running at 100% because of
SVCHOST.EXE and the user name is System how do i fix this
probelem. I would appercaite any suggestions on this
probelm.

Do a Google search for "svchost 100 cpu" and you'll see a couple of things
to try (disabling telephony service, disabling fast user switching, etc.)

Some virus programs use svchost (eg. MS Blaster).
Google 'ms blaster virus' for tips
