I was reading another forum and a question concerning system uptime on XP.
One of the responents said to open TaskManager and select CPUTime column and
the SystemIdleProecss is the Systems uptime . Is this correct? I use XP home
and did as he said and it seems close because mine is showing 80 hours . I
don't know for sure how long it has been because I booted my computer a few
days ago. I hibernate at nights so
my laptop can go many days before a fresh boot.

Get the freeware "PSInfo" from Sysinternals and execute it from a
command window. It will report the UpTime on line 1:

Open a Command Prompt
Enter Systeminfo
One of the items in the resulting list will be your System UpTime
