CPU boots up on its own.

Basically the computer boots up by itself everyday. Im pretty sure there
should be some settings somewhere to change this but Im having a hard time
finding it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.
 
The PC can be set to respond to external events. These will 'wake it up' or
Power On. Some manufacturers use different terms but they all mean the same.

Your Modem, Keyboard, Mouse, Network Card and Modem can all be set to turn
the PC on.

All this is controlled by BIOS settings.

Microsoft could be using your computer to compile the next version of
Windows, as the world's largest (and best-kept secret) example of
distributed computing... :-)
 
I had the same problem with the same modem.What I had to do was get a pci
usb card.Once I put it in the problem was solved.Hope this helps.
