hi
My cpu is constantly running at 50%, This is due to a file/programme called
tcpsvcs.exe, I believe this is something to do with the TCP/IP addressing.
I have tried using the administrative tools but this only confirms the
fault. I have tried deleting the file but access is denied as the program
is constantly running.

All help is much appreciated??
Steve

Stephen,
I'm having a similar problem. My CPU is 98% attributable to process:
tcpsvcs.exe
did you ever get any help?
I've done Spyware and Adaware pluss Norton AV. My computer works well when
disable it.

I have the same problem as well! I have to manually shut down the process
after windows has started to boot. It is related to the service "Simple
TCP/IP services" and ocurrs whenever this is running.

I have searched high and low for a solution, but no-one seems to know
anything. I think i may have to resort to re-installing my machine, I just
cant do it until the summer because I have uni work to do! I reckon there
must be some service/program which runs on startup causing it. I shall
investigate further and report back when i have the solution.
