Hi All.
I'm in the process of composing an information webpage, using NVU, for my
daughters wedding for guests to view online.
Does anyone know of any code or a program that would display a countdown
clock, in days etc, to the wedding day?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Most of the free javascript sites have countdown scripts on them. Just
Google the phrase "free javascripts" and several sites will appear for
you to visit. (For example:
http://www.javascriptkit.com/script/cutindex1b.shtml is a typical page
of javascript countdowns)

Even though the scripts are free to download, own and use, many of
their authors have requested that they NOT be posted for public
download without the author's permission---which is why I did not post
a couple in this message.

PS: You might remind the bride and groom to to think about security
while they are planning this event. Ask the couple's parents to check
for things like:
* Messages written on the bottom of the groom's shoes, like "Help" on
the left shoe and "Me!" on the right shoe---especially if the happy
couple plans to kneel during the ceremony. The groom probably won't be
the one to do this, so watch his friends.
* If you're renting the groom's suit, make sure that the pants have a
crotch sewn into them. Some rental-stores will allow crotchless pants
to be sent to the groom if the bribe paid by the Best-Man was more than
the price of the rental.
* Have someone guard the vehicle that will take the couple away from
the ceremony. Some socially-challenged people think it's funny to
sabotage the car so the couple can't leave. If the car is rented (like
a limo) the renter will be responsibile to pay the cost of repairs.
This trick usually backfires horribly on the prankster so it is better
to simply have a guard at the car rather than watch your entire wedding
party chasing the idiot(s) who damaged the car.
* Make sure that no one knows WHERE the couple will be staying on their
first night together...or the videos will be available on the internet
before dawn.

But of course, that is all off-topic from freeware...

Thanks to both of you. Have just what I required.
