count down to event showing

Is there is a way to use Outlook 2002 to show a count down to an event ? For
example , it there are 40 days to go to the completion of a task then each
day should show 39 days, 38 days 37 days etc on each dayview after the start
of the task.

No automatic way built into the program. You could just create a task each
day with that count manually. Otherwise you might be able to create a
custom, calculated, field and then create a custom view that displays it.
Sounds like a lot of work, though.
