Just starting getting this message with Outlook 2000. Any ideas what might
be causing it? Can't seem to attach anything at this point - zip files, jpg
etc. all have a problem.

I've tried to reinstall Outlook but that didn't seem to have any effect. I
an do it with Outlook Express but not the full Outlook 2000 edition. I used
to be able to do it but can't seem to any more and don't know what I've done
to cause this.

Any ideas would be appreciated...

thanks

Did you install an Update lately?
What is the entire message that you get?

I think I installed a Office update recently but I really don't remember if
it was before or after I started to see this. These aren't .exe or .com
files - they are zip files or jpg files although the type of file really
doesn't seem to matter (also happens with doc files for example).

I'm running outlook 2000 SP3

Still, take a look at the link I gave below. You will find
"Attachment Options" and many other solutions.

Or go to the link below this paragraph. There is a COM
add-in by Outlook MVP Ken Slovak that adds an
Attachment Security Options page to the Tools | Options
dialog in Outlook 2002 to allow you to manage which file
attachments are blocked.
