My Hauppage WinTV Primio PCI TV card is not working. The
drivers seems ok but the software is not working. I want
to uninstall drivers and software and I am using a utility
from Hauppage which is called HCWClear. When I start
HCWClear the following message appears : Could not delete
Registry Subkey 'Hauppauge' Error = 0x00000005.
I cannot delete in Regedit the subkey and other keys from
Hauppage. It is also not possible to install the drivers
again because I get a message : You don't have
adminstrator rights. I am using a adminstrator account and
also when I boot in safe mode I cannot install the
drivers. Who has a solution for my problem ?

(There are no tips on hauppage.com for this problem)

Regards,

Ruud

Certain keys/sub-keys in the Registry are protected from
deletion, by restricting permissions. To successfully remove
the keys you will have to manually add your username, if
it has Administrator rights and set it's permissions to Full.
Locate the Key in the Left pane of Regedit, Right Click to
open the context menu. Choose Permissions, add (User)
then tic the "Full" permissions box.
Also, sometimes a sub-key must be deleted before the
Parent key can be removed.
