I really have a problem on my hands here, the only way I am able to get here
is by opening task manager and opening firefox that way, otherwise my desktop
is just a background, no right click or anything, there is an explorer.exe
error when i boot or try to open a folder such like "my documents" internet
explorer will not open either so i can not try updating or anything. This
problem originally occured when i rebooted and got the error. If someone
thinks they can help please do. Thank you for your time.

From run in the task manager type in: explorer.exe
It won't fix your problem but should give you back a desktop to work
with.

Second this didnt seem to do anything >

Right-click the link and click "Save link target" or a similar option
with IE. Right-click the saved file, click Merge.

Or Copy/Paste the text into Wordpad or Notepad as "nodesktop.reg" (any
name ending with .reg), right-click, click Merge.

With your problems, you may have to do this on a friend's computer, to a
floppy or thumb drive and find a way to access the file on your machine.
