Hey all. I know there are many ways to repair stm files, but nothing has
worked for me. I am using exchange 2000 enterprise, and we had a severe
server problem that caused me to do a dirty reboot. Now our exchange server
will not mount the message store or the public folder store. To top it off,
our backup tape drive seems to have been affected by the reboot as well (or
it's something unrelated, either way it's dead at the moment).
Most of the employees at my company use outlook express, so no messages are
really stored on the server itself unless they haven't been picked up yet.
Since the databases aren't containing anything important, how would I go
about removing the corrupted stm files and recreating them from scratch?
Anytime I try removing the message store it tells me that a connector of some
sort is using it, even though I can't find any connectors that are connected
to it. I have already deleted the mail accounts for all users so I can start
fresh. Any ideas?
