corrupted flash player download

I installed flash player 7 on windows xp. Tried to open the file and I got a message saying the file was corrupted. I have tried it several times now and am getting a bit pissed off with it. Can anyone help me!! please!!!

try manually deleting the files in this directory

C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\

then reinstall flash player

Thanks for replying Will and Kenny. I have tried what you suggested. I have even dowloaded flash player 6, which does work for a while. I keep getting a message from Incredimail saying that the incorrect version of flash is'nt installed.
