When trying to install Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional, I insert the Installation CD-ROM into the drive. It asks me if I want to upgrade, I press yes. It then tells me that it is unable to load the file, or that it is corrupt. My CD-ROM drive is a fairly new 32x MTRP drive. I haven't done anything funky with this computer. (As in, install a strange operating system)

Try running win32.exe /checkinstallonly (I think that is
it ) It will give you a report of anything that windows
see's it cannot upgrade ... What OS are you upgrading
from ?
