We recently had a new server installed and it is set to synch the files on
all of the office PC's every 5 minutes. I think that this is why my Access
database keeps on losing all of it's relationships, but our admin says no,
I've found he is not a trained MS Office Professsional and dosen't have much
experience with Access, he actually reformated and re-installed Server 2003
on our preconfigured Dell 840 when he delivered it. I need help fast.

Your application should be split into a front-end (containing the queries,
forms, reports, macros and modules), linked to a back-end (containing the
tables and relationships). Only the back-end should be on the server, and it
shouldn't be synched with any other machines. Each user should have his/her
own copy of the front-end, ideally on his/her hard drive, with no synching
required there either.

Which files are set to synch? I hope the MDB/MDE files are *NOT* set
to synch as they are *not* the same as Word or Excel files. Word or
Excel files are designed to be updated as an entire file. Access
files are update record by record along with associated indexes and
other bits, make that bytes, of data scattered through the MDB.
Synching MDBs would mean that various users updates and new records
could easily be lost.

Corruption usually doesn't affect just the relationships. It sets the
corruption flag and updates records to have unreadable characters in
various fields.

What happens when you hit the Display All Relationships button on the
Relationships Window toolbar?
