I have Epson stylus C86 on network server (win98, patch city.)
When I try insall network printer from this computer, (winXP, heavily
modified) I am told that I do not have propler driver installed ( I installed
driver from CD that came with printer.) This not fault of my computer.
(another, relatively unaltered, winXP system give same error.) Is it possible
to just say, "yes has correct driver already."?
I believe that re-installing driver on this machine is violation of license
agreement, so I rather not reinstall, yes?
Thanks for time!

Usually, I'd first install the winXP printer driver from Epson, and if
necessary connect the printer locally until I was sure that the printer
worked as a local printer.
I'm not suprised that winXP doesn't like the win98 driver.
I don't think that license is an issue, since you are using the printer.

Download and install the printer driver for Windows XP from the Epson
web site.

Follow the instructions. Select a network install.

Let us know.

I am not a lawyer. I deal only with installation and use issues.
