Go to the web page of the manufacturer of your new hard drive. Sometimes
they have a utility to do this.

Otherwise.. Something like Symantec Ghost might be a good choice.

Thank You for your response. Ghost doesn't seem to want to work with XP. It is ver 2003. I had wanted to side step a reactivation but there might not be a work around. Thank You again

Ghost will not work in XP, no.
You will have to boot in DOS and ghost to a separate device.

Sorry if my input is moot because I didn't see the originally posted
problem, but I just last night ghosted two Win 2000 Pro and two Win XP
Pro partitions from two seagate 60 gig IDE's to two seagate 120 gig
SATA drives. I am using Ghost 2003 also. Booted with Ghost boot disk
and did a partition to partition clone.

As expected, the OS's didn't boot properly so I booted the XP Pro
disk, got in to the recovery console and executed bootcfg /rebuild and
after some answers to questions, I rebooted and all is now great!

First drive C: = 2000 Pro D: = XP Pro

Second drive E: = 2000 Pro Stuff E: = XP Pro Stuff
