Copying web page text & Image to mail?

I copy some text along with a few pictures from a web site (that works in XP)
and paste it into vista mail...... I only get the text pasted in the new mail
message area..Why??

Is Vista Home basic limited...? OR is it broken?
Maybe it isn't supposed to copy pictures off the web or copy them to my mail
for sending like my XP use to.
