I am in the process of upgrading a number of computers
from Windows 98 to XP and also buying a number of new
machines which already have XP on them. We have a large
number of users, any of whom might need access to any of
these computers. Is there a way to copy user accounts
from one machine to another or do I have to sit down at
each computer and set up user accounts for each person
who might ever use it? With Windows 98 you just logged on
and the system asked you to verify your password. I did
not have to set them up each time... Please advise and
thanks!

Diana, it appears what you want is a "roaming", are your
computers connected through a network? if yes, is it
peer2peer or server based? if you are networked and wish
to have "roaming profiles" this is possible with a client
server setup, but in a peer2peer network there is no way
to manager user accounts network wide and thus all
accounts are local to each peer2peer computer.
