Copying to CD

I have a question similar to Eric's, answered by Yves just today. Re:
Transferring pictures to CD's. Quite often in the past, when transferring
pictures to a CD-RW, and then wanting to transfer more pictures at a later
date, I receive a message that indicates that the transfer is not possible
for one reason or another, e.g. "This CD cannot be written to." This happens
even though the CD is not full. I do use the "Copy to" and not "Move to"
using the XP CD Writing Wizard. Am I following the correct procedure? And,
should the procedure work for other types of files as well as pictures?
Thank you.

This can happen if you use some other software like Nero or Roxio to copy
music to CD. The software takes over XP.
To get XP back, open My Computer and right click on your CD drive and
Properties. Click on the Recording tab and check the box "Enable...."
You should now be able to add to your CD, provided you used XP initially to
copy to the CD.

Thank you for the help. Everything works as it should now. I have been
looking for this answer for a couple of years. Thanks again!

Great.
If you use Nero or Roxio again, the software will work just fine. However,
after using it, you will have to reset the Recording tab again if you want
to use XP.
