Copying picture from Web to Word

I have been trying to copy a picture from the web and pasting it into my Word
2002. When I do this all it shows is the outline where the picture is but no
picture. I've even tried the paste special and still no picture is visible,
even in the preview. Do I need to download a patch or change something in
the options menu. Thanks so much for the help.
 
What happens if you right click the web picture then 'save picture as' -
give it a name and save to the hard drive - then insert the image file into
Word?

Make sure tools > options > view > 'picture place holders' is unchecked and
'drawings' is checked
and tools > options > print > 'drawing objects' is checked.
