Copying MM2 videos to Discs

I recently purchased a digital camcorder and am using it in conjunction with MM2. I can capture, title, edit clips, etc., and copy the finished video to my harddrive. Anyone have a suggested Video Editing Software Program that I can purchase which is compatible with MM2 and will let me copy to discs (VCD and DVD) that will play on my DVD Player. The HIGHMAT format provided by Windows Media Player will not work on my or my childrens' DVD players.
