Copying messages

I need to copy mail messages from an Outlook (2003 professional edition) personal folder to a folder on the desktop. The Outlook folder contains approx 1000 msgs. Is there a way to select all msgs and copy them to a folder outside of Outlook?

May I ask why? Outlook handles messages in a PST much more effectively than
when they are in a folder.
 
I'd like to copy the messages to an Exchange folder that all users (non outlook users included) can print and/or read the messages at the users convenience.

How can non-Outlook users see a file that requires Outlook to view?
