copying messages

i copird my email messages from my desktop to a jump drive and then from the
jump drive to my laptop to the folder where the email messages are stored but
when i open windows mail on my laptop the messages that i copied dont appear-
is there anothher location where the mmessages are?
 
You should use the export and import functions that are included with
Windows Mail. You'll find it under the File menu.

Don't copy like that.
Drag the EML files into a folder in WinMail.
