Copying formulas using "+" cell reference causes r1c1 in linked sh

I am having problems when I am using grouped worksheets

eg. In the one where I enter data/formula, I enter +c6*.5
This then correctly adjust the formula with the correct result and using say
a value of 30 in cell c6, it correctly produces the result 15

However in all the other sheets, it shows +R[-3]C (i.e. relative references)

I believe my settings may have changed - I have compared all the settings in
Excel with another user & he does not have this problem

Is this therefore a problem with the default template or something else?
Hope you can help

Interesting Bug...

Instead of using the Lotus 1-2-3 "+" to start your functions, use
Excel's "=". The grouped sheets will all enter the correct formula...

I agree & this is certainly a work around - However since I have been using
the + key consistently for too many years too mention, why can't I use it
anymore - I would prefer to change it back if possible.
It works perfectly OK on other people's machines

Thanks again

Don't know what the difference is - I see the bug with XL04. Perhaps the
other machines use different versions of XL?
