Hello im new to this. I need to do a fresh reinstall of windows but i want to
keep some of my programs. I have a slave hardrive installed which is empty
and I want to send the files from the main drive to that one?? The files are
things like photos, music and all of my steam files (halflife2 and cs source)
which i don't want to download again!! Once i have done the reinstall I then
want to put them back onto the C drive again?? I hope this makes sense, if so
plz help!!
Thanx

Click on 'My Computer'.. double click on the C drive icon.. size the window
to half of the screen (vertically).. now repeat the procedure but this time
click on the slave drive icon.. you can now 'drag and drop' from one window
to the other.. I would suggest that you use the 'copy' function as a
safeguard..

You might also consider leaving photos and music on the slave drive.. in the
event of primary drive failure (always a possibility on a system drive), you
files will be safe..

Good luck with the re-install..

Hi

Why do you need to reinstall XP? If you perform a 'Repair' install of XP,
your files, settings and programs should remain intact. The following
article by Michael Stevens will help you:
