We have just installed a client workstation with Win XP.
We need to copy an app file down from the Win 2000 server
to run an access database. We have made the user a power
user and adminstrator on the local workstation. We are
unable to copy the app file logged in as the user. We
copied the app file logged in as admin, but it will not
run logged in as user. Any ideas would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks,
Julie

Assuming the local Admin and the server admin have the same naming convention and same password )-: ~~. And the apps need to access file locate on the server with the appropriate right assigned (read, write)
The quick way is right click on the application file and select run as- select administrator
The good solution is on the server setting the correct Access permissions for group of user(s) need to access it. Only give the permission to group not to individual. Do this even if you have to create a special group for a single user. It'll easier and more efficient as you add and remove user
