Why will Vista not allow you to copy and paste a jpeg image? Specifically
for transferring a logo.

Gary,
I remain stumped. Thanks to your post and others, I have learned how to
copy and paste pictures from web pages, and how to insert pics from my hard
drive.

But the most important thing still eludes me. I'm trying to use the Vista
snipping tool to snip portions of stock charts and e-mail them to a friend
for discussion. I can insert the snip to Windows Mail directly from the
snipping tool, but I think I'm limited to one snipped image per post. I can
save and insert snipped images, but that is clunky. But I cannot simply copy
and paste from snipping tool to Windows Mail.

I downloaded the Windows Live Mail as you suggested, but the limitation
persists. I cannot copy from snipping tool and paste into an e-mail.

What are your suggestions?
Thanks,
Gary

WYSIWYG. You'd be much better of saving such images to your HDD first.
Better yet, use IE's 'Send a page' or 'Send a link' functionality.

Once the picture is in Snipping Tool, right-click on the picture and select
copy.

Then right-click on email message you're working on select paste from the
context menu.

Or...

Once the picture is in Snipping Tool, Edit -> Copy

Click on email message and Ctrl-V

Or...

Once the picture is in Snipping Tool, File -> Send To -> Email Recipient

If you have multiple images to send, then save each of them and then drag
them all overtop a new message window and they will all be attached to that
message.
