Not sure if this is the right place to post this.

How can I download or copy a web page to a file on drive c: and have that
file, when opened, look just like the web page, i.e. with all the colors and
images?

Thanks,

Yes it is the wrong place. But to get an answer wherever you go you'll need
to work out what browser you use and tell- different browsers are different.
If you use IE6 there is a newsgroup for it. And there are forums for the
various other browsers like Firefox etc.

On the File menu, click Save As.
Locate and click the location in the file system where you want to save
the page.
In the File name box, type the name of the page.
Click Save.

And if you use Firefox, get the fabulous Scrapbook (free) add-in. It's
wonderful for grabbing pages or sites for offline viewing.

In my experience, though the 'Save As' either 'Web Archive (.MHT)' or 'Web
Page, complete' work *most* of the time, every so often IE6 will cough up a
hairball--'web page could not be saved to selected location' or words to
that effect.

When this happens, it's usually caused by the page design--using frames in
certain ways, or too much JavaScript.

There are also security balks.

When faced with this, you can usually save just the .html part (one of the
'Save As' selections) but this isn't what you asked for, of course. There
are somewhat more risky ways of dealing with this latter problem.
