I am wondering if it is possible to copy WinXP setup
files, the same way it is possible to copy Win98 setup
files, AND be able to add or remove programs without EVER
needing the WinXP CDROM.
Usually, with Windows 98, I could copy the CAB files from
the CDROM, to the harddisk, and run Win98 setup from the
harddisk, and never need the CD again.
XP on the other hand, the CD is new to me. I can't really
pinpoint any one directory to copy from that would offer
the same results.
I am only wishing to do this to eliminate having to dig
out my OS CDROMS for a setup change. I store the discs in
such a way they are inconvenient to access. I hope someone
can help.
Thanks,
John
