I made a backup using MS backup and wanted to restore the backup. So I
did. But after rebooting, it won't boot anymore. I think this is because
not all system files were restored since some might be in use when
running windows to run the backup/restore program.
Now I boot with the XP cd (recovery console) and want to place back some
files from an external drive. I can access the drive and the files so
the only thing might be to copy the files from ext:\WINNT\system32\ to
the local drive. The problem is the copy command does not accept any
wildcards. Since I don't know which files to place back I thought
placing back all from system32 should be best to do (or maybe all from
WINNT dir). Since this are over 1000 files I cannot / will not do this
file after file. Is there a way to copy whole directory?
