We have about 25 computers that all need to be configured
the same way with the same software installed.

Is there a way to copy (clone) from one PC to an other if
we have enough licenses of all the software? I dread the
idea of having to reconfigure these PC's one at a time.

Some of the PC's have identical hardware, some do not.

Thanks

Symantec Ghost integrates well with XP's sysprep tools.

I think I'm starting to understand the process and the SID issue
What happens to the CD-Key that was entered during installation on the original PC.
Is that replaced along with the SID when using Sysprep

How successful is XP at recognizing new hardware
Can I use the same Ghost image on Gateways, Microns, and home built PCs

Thanks for your help

Depends on your copy of XP. If you get a site-licensed version then
the CD-key copies with the Ghost image and runs fine. If not, you'll
have to authorize XP on each system.

In my limited experience, no. You need to have essentially the same
hardware on all the systems.

Though others may know more. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?
