how can I copy a screen capture of an error screen in a post?
Wesley Vogel said:If the error message is in a message box, click the error message to give it
focus, hit Ctrl key + C key to copy the error message and paste the error
message into a message post.
Here is an example...
---------------------------
error
---------------------------
Windows cannot find 'error'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and
then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click
Search.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
Or use the Print Screen key, is often abbreviated as Print Scrn.
Print Scrn key copies everything on your screen.
The sole function of this key is to take a snapshot or picture of your
computer screen and copy it to the clipboard.
Alt key+ Print Scrn key
[[Will take a screenshot of the currently selected window, not the entire
screen like the normal screenshot function. This allows you to target that
specific window that you have open and nothing else. No more cropping those
screenshots to grab the content you were after!]]
You have to paste the image in to Paint, Wordpad, Word or some other program
that will handle images.
