Copy down the same content of cell

I need to copy down the content of the cell
Example
A B
01/10/04 Product 1 $100.0
Product 3 $ 70.0
Product 4 $ 1.0
01/15/04 Product 1 $100.0
Product 2 $ 35.0
I need to copy down the dates. Any sugestions?

Hi
not quite sure I understood you but if you want to fill the blank cells
in column A with dates try the following:
- select the range in column A
- hit F5
- click 'Special'
- choose 'Blank Cells'
- now enter the equation sign '='
- hit the uper arrow key
- hit CTRL+ENTER

Not sure why I do, but after doing as Frank requested I usually on the newly
filled cells (that were previously blank) do a copy of all and paste-special
values to all to convert the cell content to real values....

Alberto,

1) Select the cells in the column A
2) Press F5
3) Click the Special button, Select Blanks, click OK
4) With the cells selected, Type an equal sign (=)
5) Press the up arrow on the keyboard
6) Hold the Ctrl key and press Enter
7) Select the entire column
8) Choose Edit - Copy
9) Choose Edit - Paste Special, Select Values, click
