copy contacts to a disk

Create a new .PST file (File | New), then copy the contact folder to it.
Close the new .PST (right click its root folder in the Folder List and click
Close), then you can move that .PST file to a disc. You'll need to copy the
file back to a hard drive and remove the read-only attribute before Outlook
will be able to read it again.
