It did some strange things in word when I pasted it. I am trying to copy a
column of symbols. I clicked on the column heading to highlight it, right
clicked and chose copy, then went to an empty row and right clicked on the
first cell and chose paste special, clicked the transpose box and ok. Then I
copied the row the same way I copied the column and pasted it into word. It
ended up giving me 14 pages with vertical lines and completely messed up the
order of the symobls which should have just taken less then a page of space
horizontally.
I transposed one column into a row. They symbols are all text which I
downloaded from the intenet as an excel file. I then sorted it the way I
wanted it and followed your directions.
Could it be that you clicked the row header, and wound up copying all the cells in the row
(all the way to the end, empty or not) and pasting them into Word? That would probably give
you a mess of pages. Perhaps you need to select only as far as there is data before you do
the copy.
