copy and paste

Im having a problem with copying and pasting when I have a
form open in design view. When I opened the properties box
and select a field then zoom on it it cant copy from it or
past to it. I remember being able to do this in earlier
version of access. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Any
ideas???
