When I copy a picture from an internet website and paste it into a Word
document, sometimes I only get a link to the website. What am I doing wrong?

That is normal, since all pictures in Web pages are just links. Two
alternatives:

1. Immediately after pasting, while you are still connected to the Internet
and can see the image, press Ctrl+Shift+F9 to unlink the graphic and embed
it in your document.

2. (Better) Right-click on the image and choose Save Picture As. Save it to
your My Pictures folder (or somewhere else convenient), then use Insert |
Picture | From File to put it in your document. That way, if anything
happens to the document, you still have the picture on your HD.
