When I "search" for files named "cookie", I find more than just in the
start/browze/cookies file. GOOD! However - I cannot "select all" and
"delete" all of them at once. I have to right click/delete/ yes on each one
individually. The first time there were avout 150.......! Any help please?
Thanks

Download CCleaner from the web, it's free,
It will do the best cleanup you ever used.

Thanks, Jerry. I've read that answer on several of these posts that I've
looked at - I guess it's about time to take this advice....................

Jerry - I went there, and had "choices" from "FileHippo" or "alternate
Download"/standard (or other?). I know - I'm not that computer bright.......!

Although CCleaner is a good program that can do useful things, I caution you
not to try to use *all* its many features. In particular stay away from its
registry cleaning functions, which can be very dangerous.

It doesn't matter. The same file is available from more than one source.

As an alternative you can use a built in cleaner.

Go to your Control Panel and select Internet Options,

Read the panel to see which button to click.

Usually browsing history, select the delete button.

I've downloaded ccleaner & ready to run. What are "other explorer MRU's" &
should I or should not delete them? Also-note asks me to "Please reply to
the newsgroup". Is there a better way to communicate with you? Thanks.
Roger

Once you have downloaded CCleaner and installed it, don't worry about other
MRU's.
CCleaner will notify you of updates.
The new updates will copy to the same location and will accumulate, so you
need to go in and delete the old ones to save disk space.

What I meant was - should I allow ccleaner to delete files named "Other
Exolorer MRU's"? The boxes are there to be checked yes or no.........

Sorry, my mind was taking a nap,
Under the Applications tab, Yes to all that is already checked.

One other you might check is in the windows tab,
Check the Advanced tab, then delete all the check marks except Hotfix
Uninstallers.
This will delete all the hotfix backup files for you too.

Good luck and have fun,

A final "THANKS" & God bless"
