If you have either WORKS or WORD (with the MS plug-in
converter), open the document and "save as" as a WORD file
with a .doc extension. To open a WORKS file with WORD, open
WORD and use the file/open command which will activate the
conversion process.
WORKS has had the option to save files as .doc for some
time.
Windows XP is an operating system and does not convert
documents, you need to use the application.
Some changes of may happen to the document if you have used
some feature that is not available on the other program.
