Help...need to convert text in cells to all upper case?
How??????? Followed help instructions....no help there!!

Hi Barb,
Proper, and other Text changes -- Use of SpecialCells
Uppercase (#upper)
http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/proper.htm#upper

Instructions to install and use a macro on
http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/install.htm

alternate solution:
You can use the UPPER Worksheet Function
=UPPER(A1)
followed by use of the fill handle,
but then you have the original value and the new value in two
separate cells, and have to go through some extra bother
to copy the new column, Edit, paste special, values, before
you can remove the original column.

David has answered your question but I am curious.

When you typed "upper case" into the Help Answer Wizard and found the UPPER
Function and followed instructions, how was it of no help?

I think one confusing thing about Help for Worksheet Functions when
starting out is that
the equal sign is not included. The reason is that they can be
stacked. A good thing to do is after you have your answer
look again in Help. In Help use both the Index and use
the Answer Wizard. Be sure to look at "see also", and examples.
