I am a beginner web designer. A client emailed me a Powerpoint slide show he would like put on his website. I thought I would convert the slides to .jpg files or .gif files and create a slideshow with javascript.
The problem is I don't own Powerpoint and I can't even open the .ppt file he sent me. I assume I will have to get access to Powerpoint to open the slides and import them into my image editing software (Photoshop) so I can convert them to internet browser readable files. Does anyone know the best way to do this?
Thanks, Will

Without PowerPoint you can only play the presentation in the Viewer and do
screen shots. Other alternatives would be to have the client save the
slides as images and send them to you. That can be done by going to File >
Save as and selecting JPG or PNG as the output format.
